しかしインドは、ゾウを殺さず、公園のパトロールとして訓練するか、できなかった場合は安全なところで解放するとのことです。

アメリカでは、国立公園でトレッキングをする人々に対して、寝るときには食べ物を木の上から吊るして、クマが取れないようにするというルールがあります。
このルールの趣旨に関して行政側は、
「これはあなた達を守るものではない。クマを守るための措置だ」
と明確に主張します。

一方、
八百万の神、自然や動物を尊重し、動物にやさしく、自然を愛するという私たち、というセルフイメージを持つ日本、
クマによる死亡者は、過去１０年間で１９人。

クマに人間が殺されると、さらには人里に降りてきただけで、人々はパニックに陥り、ヒステリックに大騒ぎし、殺せ殺せと要求し、集団で殺しにかかり、殺害すると安心します。

日本人の動物への態度には明確な特徴があります。
対人間であっても、死刑を求める人々が異常に多い国であることも関係しているでしょう。

様々な人が日本人のメンタリティーの特殊性を論じています。
これが、外国で通用する活動手法が、日本では通じないことの原因です。
改めてその現象や原因の収集、整理、分析から始め、対処することが、動物解放活動にとって必須でしょう。
