いおワールドかごしま水族館で、「待望 イルカの赤ちゃんが誕生」というお祝いムードのニュースがありました。
しかし、この影でどれほどのイルカの死と苦しみがあるのかは伝えられません。

いおワールドかごしま水族館では、
2008年〜-2019年の間に、イルカは16回妊娠しています。
そのうち現在生きているイルカは、たった３人。
死産・流産・生まれて５日以内に死亡しているイルカは、なんと１１人もいます。
死亡率、８９％。
母の目の前で、子供が溺れていく姿を見るのはどのような気持ちがするでしょう。

なお、以前投稿した、『イルカへ投与していた薬６１種類、プールには消毒液』の水族館は、ここ、いおワールドかごしま水族館です。
