【京都水族館 間違った治療 イルカのマリアが亡くなりました 】
2019年7月30日、以前お伝えした、口の中がボロボロになってしまったマリアが亡くなりました。
2019年3月28日に映像を撮影、それから4ヶ月後でした。
マリアは、人間の欲に一生を奪われました。
鴨川シーワールドで生まれながらの奴隷として生を受け、京都水族館に監禁され、監禁され、病気にされ、薬漬けにされました。
水族館の商材として収益をあげさせられ、自称イルカ好きの人々の欲望を満たすためショーをさせられました。
口の病気は、最初から原因不明でした。
そしてそのまま死んでしまった。
何年も治せず、そして殺したということは、治療が間違っていたということです。
獣医は原因を特定できず、なんとネットで検索しながら治療をするという素人と変わらないと思える治療を行っていました。
レーザーを当てていますが、イルカトレーナー？獣医？は、笑いながら、雑談しながら治療を行い、傷口以外の皮膚も焼いています。
水族館は、マリアの何年間病気が続いているか「教えたくない」と回答し、情報公開を拒否しました。
マリアが亡くなった後、信じられないことに、水族館や自称イルカ好きの人々は苦しませ続けたマリアに”感謝”を捧げました。
マリアは、マリアの家族は、マリアの仲間たちは、その感謝を受け取っていますでしょうか。
マリアが監禁されなれば、自称イルカ好きの欲望を満たす役割をさせられなければ、家族に囲まれ、自由に生き、海の中で死んでいったでしょう。
水族館と自称イルカ好きの人々と、
イルカを監禁し苦しめる水族館から解放しようとする人々、
イルカの味方はどちらでしょうか。
答えは明らかです。

A氏
膿瘍。穴の開口部は開いているため、長期間感染していたことがわかる。歯と歯茎の状態は複雑で、特定の抗生物質治療が必要。
B氏
骨髄炎と周囲の組織の感染、または周囲に外傷を及ぼすほど進行した深刻な虫歯の症例に見える。二次感染を引き起こす可能性がある。あるいは、あごは傷となった部分の内部で明らかに腫脹しており、露出した組織は私には癌のように見える。捕獲下のイルカでは口腔がんは珍しくなく、通常舌下だが、扁平上皮がんは顎に浸潤する可能性がある。もちろん、情報が限られているため、上記はすべて推測である。

Maria, whose mouth was tattered, died.
Maria was deprived of life by human greed.
Received life as a born slave at Kamogawa Sea World and was confined to the Kyoto Aquarium, and drugged.
Maria was made profitable as an aquarium product.
She was shown to meet the dolphin fan’s desire.
The cause of oral disease was unknown from the beginning.
And she just died.
Having not cured and killed for years means that the treatment was wrong.
The veterinarian was unable to identify the cause, and was treating what seemed to be the same as an amateur who was treating while searching online.
A dolphin trainer? Veterinarian? , laughs, chats, and burns skin other than the wound.
I asked Kyoto aquarium “How many years Maria has been sick?” The aquarium responded “I don’t want to tell” , refused to disclose information.

From the pics you sent me I can confirm that looks like an open dental abscess. In the pic n.4, it’s possible to recognise also the spill pus. The opening of the hole has almost clear margins, so it was present an infection for a long time. The condition of the teeth and gums is really complicated, it would need specific antibiotic treatment.

I think you’re right that this could a severe case of dental decay that has advanced to osteomyelitis and infection of the surrounding tissues, or possibly trauma leading to secondary infection. I would also consider cancer as a possible differential here. While it isn’t overtly tumorous, the jaw is clearly swollen internally in that area and the exposed tissues appear carcinoma-like to me. Oral cancer is not uncommon in captive dolphins and, while they are usually sublingual, squamous cell carcinomas can invade the jaw (though I’m not aware of a case that has been reported in this species). Laser therapy is a common treatment modality for oral/throat cancer, so fits the scenario. All speculation without more info of course.
